Warranty

Benefits to customer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of customer under law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.

Hamer only warrants products if there is any defect from factory materials or factory workmanship in the product during the warranty period. 

 

Customers must read and understand the conditions of the warranty together with other information provided within this document. 

 

Hamer's rectification of the defect may include, repair, replacement of defective part or replacement of the product. 

Criteria

The following criteria must be met to be entitled to a claim

Hamer product must be installed according to the product information provided while consistently carrying out suitable care and maintenance of Hamer product, including any required by the product information.

 

Evidence of purchase must be provided to make a claim within the warranty period.

Misuse & Neglect

The Warranty against defects will not apply if the defect is caused by or is attributed to

unusual, improper or negligent use or misuse of the Hamer product installation of product
incorrect fitting or adjustments of the Hamer product any modification of the product.

 

Any damage incurred during transportation or handling of the product loading Hamer product with weight exceeding suggested in Hamer product information use of non-genuine Hamer component parts in or with Hamer products use of Hamer products on modified vehicles that are not approved by product information or authorized reseller any accident use of product on modified vehicle which is not approved by Hamer’s authorized reseller use of product after the defect is known fire, flood, lighting or any other acts of g-d defects from racing or competition use damage caused by atmospheric fallout during hail and salt.


other types of usage not included in product information may also be considered misuse and neglect. 

Claiming

In order to claim warranty, Customers must follow the following procedures

Have the Hamer product returned to the authorized reseller or arrange an appointment with an authorized reseller to bring the fitted vehicle in for an inspection. 

 

Evidence of purchase will need to be provided to either Hamer or the authorised reseller to review warranty criteria. 

 

Products that fail to meet the conditions will be rejected  and will not be processed. Authorised resellers and customers will be informed of this rejection of warranty claim.  

Conditions met

If all conditions of this warranty have been met

Hamer will rectify any defective workmanship or materials at its own expense.

Additional costs

Any additional costs incurred from claiming process

are to be borne by the customer subject to any applicable law which provides otherwise, customer is required to bear all costs and expenses incurred in taking the product to, and collecting the product from, the premises of authorised reseller from which customer purchased the product (or to and from the premises of Hamer where customer purchased the product from Hamer)

Time of warranty

The warranty for Hamer products is within 1 year after the purchase date

Warranty Given

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian consumer law.

 

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if the product fail to be acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Hamer means HAMER OFFROADS PTY LTD AUSTRALIA.

 

Hamer products means products which Hamer manufactures or for which Hamer is the exclusive distributer. 

 

Hamer Authorised reseller means a retail outlet which has been authorised by HAMER OFFROAD PTY LTD to sell and install the product. 

 

Where authorised reseller has sold the product, then "authorised installer" means an installer appointed by an authorised reseller. 

 

Modification means any modification, which has been made to the vehicle prior to the product installation. 

 

Product information means the information about the relevant Hamer product which may be contained in any of: documentation provided with Hamer product, owners manual, the manufacturers manual or labels attached to the Hamer product.

 

Warranty period means, in respect of Hamer products, the period that this warranty against defects applies. 

 

 

 

 

Recovery Use

Rated Recovery Points

Only recovery points that are explicitly rated and designated for recovery purposes should be used. These points are engineered to withstand the stresses of recovery operations, ensuring both the safety of the operators and the integrity of Hamer products.

 

Prohibited Use of Unrated Points:

Any locations that are not specifically labelled as recovery points must not be used for recovery. Utilising non-designated points can lead to vehicle damage and personal injury, and such use is not covered under our warranty.

 

Front Rubber and Shackle Mounts:

The front rubber and shackle mounts of the vehicle are not designed for recovery operations. Using these mounts for recovery purposes poses a significant risk of damage and failure. Accordingly, recovery operations involving these mounts are not covered under warranty.

 

Warranty Limitations:

Please note that any damage caused by the use of unrated recovery points, or the improper use of rated points, will not be covered under warranty. It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to adhere to these guidelines to maintain warranty validity.
